People wanted change in this Bihar Elections: CPI
Tuesday, November 22 2005 14:27 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Communist Party of India (CPI) today (Nov 22,2005) said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) emerged victorious in the Bihar Assembly elections because the people of the state wanted a change from the 15-year-long RJD 'misrule'.

Spotlight: Bihar Elections

"When you look at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) rule of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi for the last 15 years, the kind of law and order situation, the deficiency in governance, there was an urge for change among the electorate," CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan said here.

The NDA won the elections because no effort was made to check the 'urge of change' among the people, he observed.
