Eleven inmates of the sub-jail here, including a hardcore CPI (Maoist) rebel, who had escaped during the November 13 naxalite attack, were yesterday (Nov 21, 2005) arrested from different parts of Jehanabad and adjoining Aurangabad district, police sources said.
Avadhesh Singh, said to be the right hand man of Ajay Kanu, a prominent naxalite leader, who masterminded the 'operation jailbreak' from behind the bars, was arrested from a place in Aurangabad district during the 'operation hot pursuit' jointly launched by Central forces and state police.
Ten other escapees were apprehended from various places in Jehanabad district, sources said.
Sources said around 175 others who had either escaped or were kidnapped by the naxalites during the attack were still traceless.
