Salem remanded to PC till Dec 2 in Jain murder case

Mumbai: A sessions court today (Nov 24, 2005) remanded extradited gangster Abu Salem to police custody till December two in the 1997 case of murder of real estate developer, Pradeep Jain.

Salem was booked in the case by Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police and produced him before sessions Judge P V Bavkar who remanded him to custody.

Earlier, ATS obtained a production warrant against Salem from sessions court in the Pradeep Jain murder case.

ATC obtained permission of TADA court for Salem's custody as he was already under judicial custody in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case.
