Infosys offers Rs 10 lakh support to Kutty's family

Thiruvananthapuram: I T major Infosys has offered an assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the family of Maniappan, the Indian national kidnapped and killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The amount would be provided from the Infosys Foundation. Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had been informed of this by Infosys authorities, a CMO official said.

Maniappan will be cremated at his home at Chingoli village in Alappuzha this evening with full state honours.
