Maniyappan Kutty's body flown to Kerala for cremation

New Delhi: The body of slain Border Roads Organisation personnel Maniyappan Raman Kutty was flown to his native place in Kerala from here this morning (Nov 25, 2005).

Kutty's body, which was flown here from Kabul last evening, was airlifted to Thiruvanthapuram in an Indian Airlines flight IC-167 from the International Airport here.

The mortal remains of the 36-year-old BRO driver would be taken to Chingoli village in Allapuzha for cremation later today.

BRO Additional Director General T P Velayudhan, Brigadier of the General Reserved Engineering Force K R K Nair, local MP K S Manoj and his colleagues Varkala Radhakrishnan and Thennala Balakrishna Pillai accompanied the body.

The decapitated body of Kutty, who was abducted by Taliban militia, was dumped by a roadside in Nimroz province of Delaram in Afghanistan two days ago.
