New Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here yesterday (Nov 26, 2005).

The meeting assumed significance in the wake of simmering differences with another Congress-ruled Maharashtra over boundary dispute on Belgaum.

The Chief Minister, who came yesterday for the Karnataka Day celebrations, also met Home Minister Shivraj Patil. He admitted that the Belgaum issue figured during his talks with the Home Minister.

During his meeting with Patil, Singh sought Central assistance for the flood-hit areas in the state.
