Pak wants Swaraj Paul to contribute in relief

London: Acknowledging the donation made for relief of earthquake victims, Pakistan has hoped the Ambika Paul Foundation, set up by NRI industrialist Lord Swaraj Paul in memory of his daughter, would participate in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the disaster areas in PoK.

In a letter addressed to Lord Paul, the acting High Commissioner for Pakistan Abdul Basit said, "On behalf of President Pervez Musharraf, the Government and people of Pakistan, I wish to thank you and express my gratitude for your donation of 10,000 pounds to the President of Pakistan Fund."

"I assure you that your contribution would go a long way in helping the earthquake survivors," he said.

"I also take this opportunity to express the hope that Ambika Paul Foundation would also participate in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the disaster areas," he said.
