New Delhi:
Showing its 'magnanimity' after victory in Bihar Assembly elections, the Opposition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has decided to end their boycott of 'tainted' Ministers including Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in both Houses of Parliament.
"The people have given their verdict on the tainted Ministers. All the tainted Ministers have been humbled. Hence, we have decided not to continue with our boycott", Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliamentary Party spokesman V K Malhotra told reporters here.
He said the decision was taken at a meeting of NDA leaders last week.
The NDA had even boycotted almost an entire Parliament session protesting the presence of 'tainted' Ministers in the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government. The members of the alliance used to walk out whenever the Ministers, including Lalu Prasad, rose to reply including on the Railway Budget.
Besides Lalu, the Opposition alliance used to boycott RJD Ministers Mohd Taslimuddin, P C Gupta, M A A Fatimi and Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav as also Shibu Soren of JMM.
