Steady stream of visitors at Bal Thackeray's residence
Monday, November 28 2005 12:44 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Mumbai: A steady stream of visitors thronged the Thackeray residence 'Matoshree' here since morning (Nov 28, 2005), where the Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray had convened a meeting to discuss the fallout of the announcement by rebel Sena leader and nephew Raj to quit as chief of Bharatiya Vidyarthi Sena (BVS).

The visitors at Matoshree in suburban Bandra, included senior Sena leader Manohar Joshi, Shiv Sainiks, local office party bearers, Sena's Mahila Agadi workers and Bhartiya Kaamgar Sena leader Suryakant Mahadik.

The closed-door meeting that started last night continued till the early hours today, Sena sources said.

Meanwhile, Raj Thackeray today said he would not like to comment on the meeting.

Asked if he had received any invitation to go to 'Matoshree', Raj told sources, "I am not aware of it. I am sitting at my home right now".

Replying to a query whether he would be coming to 'Matoshree' if invited by Bal Thackeray, Raj said, "I do not want to comment on such things. I have said whatever I wanted yesterday".

No details of the meeting were available but party sources said the Sena Chief was likely to address the large contingent of mediapersons waiting outside 'Matoshree'.
