Uma to reply to show cause notice within three days Wednesday, November 30 2005 17:02 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Bhopal:
After her suspension from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), firebrand leader Uma Bharti today (Nov 30, 2005) said she would 'live and die' for the saffron party and reply to the show cause notice issued to her within three days.
Claiming that she was not working in the party for any posts, Bharti told reporters that hers was an ideological battle for upholding democratic values and principles and urged the party to take a 'right' stand on the issue.
Describing former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and BJP President L K Advani as father like figures for her, the fiery sanyasin said they should not treat the entire episode as an organisational-legal matter but must give a deeper thought before taking any decision.
The saffron-clad leader, who has embarked upon 'padyatra' to Ayodhya against party making Shivraj Singh Chauhan state's Chief Minister, said urging her march that she expected the blessings of Vajpayee and Advani.
Stating that individuals are of little importance, Bharti said there is always scope for discussions on ideologies and all should rise above feelings of vengeance to understand issues and solve problems instead of making 'irresponsible' statements.
"It was Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) which placed its views on ideologies, behaviour, right style of functioning and change-over and I strongly support these," she said.
