New Delhi: The Center has constituted the Central Information Commission as per the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005, Rajya Sabha was told today (December 1, 2005).

The Commission consists of one Chief Information Commissioner and four Information Commissioners, Minister of state for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Suresh Pachouri said in a written reply.

Non-Conventional Energy: The installed capacity of non conventional energy sources (including small hydro) stood at 6160 MW as on March 31, 2005, Minister of State in Prime Minister's office Prithviraj Chavan said.

On nuclear power, he said the current installed nuclear power capacity stood at 3310 mw. He said during 2004-05 as much as 17,010 million Units were produced from nuclear power.
