NDA leaders to chalk out plan on Mitrokhin debate
Thursday, December 1 2005 20:27 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders would meet here on Monday to chalk out the strategy to press for a discussion in both Houses of Parliament on Mitrokhin Archives and the allegations against Congress leaders made in former US Ambassador Daniel Moynihan's book on CIA funding.

"The meeting will discuss how to raise the issue and the strategy to be adopted if such a discussion is not permitted", Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parlimanetary Party spokesman V K Malhotra told reporters here.

Last week also, the Opposition NDA had insisted on an Adjournment Motion on the two issues along with the Volcker Report and stalled proceedings in both Houses for two days.

Subsequently, the Lok Sabha took up an Adjournment Motion on the Volcker Report on Monday, which was rejected by the House.
