No signs of immediate resolution to Sena crisis Thursday, December 1 2005 12:01 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Mumbai:
With no signs of an immediate resolution to the five-day old crisis in the Shiv Sena, the party leadership is waiting for disgruntled Raj Thackeray to come to 'Matoshree' to meet Sena chief Bal Thackeray, while Raj said yesterday (Nov 30, 2005) he would announce a final decision on his future course of action in a next couple of days.
"Raj has been invited to Matoshree by the Sena chief himself. If he does not want to meet me, he can directly meet Balasaheb and discuss his grievances," Sena Executive President and Raj's cousin Uddhav Thackeray told reporters here.
Raj, who eluded Sena legislators and office-bearers in Mumbai, told his supporters in Pune that he would be taking a final decision on his future course of action in next three
days.
Raj, who quit all party posts on November 27, said he had elaborated his grievances in the letter sent to Bal Thackeray. Referring to Uddhav's offer of a formula to find a way out of the crisis, Raj said "it is all there in my letter."
Raj reiterated that for him, uncle Bal Thackeray was akin to a God. "But my bhagwan is surrounded by people who want to finish off the Sena. It seems some people have taken a 'supari' (contract) to finish off the Sena," he said.
