Natwar's son refuses to comment on Mathrani's claims

New Delhi: As Union Minister K Natwar Singh came under fresh attacks over the Iraqi oil-for-food scam, his son Jagat Singh today (Dec 2, 2005) declined comment on the issue.

"I have nothing to say," Jagat, whose role in the whole controversy has come under the scanner, told reporters here.

Spotlight: Volcker Report

Jagat was part of a Congress delegation headed by his father which visited Iraq in 2001.

Another member of the delegation and Indian Ambassador to Croatia Anil Mathrani today claimed that Natwar Singh had received oil allotment from Saddam Hussein regime for his 'personal services.'
