Volcker issue rocks RS; House adjourns till noon

New Delhi: The Volcker issue rocked the Rajya Sabha today (Dec 5,2005) leading to its adjournment till noon.

When the House re-assembled, the uproar continued forcing Speaker to adjourn the House till 1400 hrs.

The opposition members continued to raise slogans demanding resignation of Natwar Singh.

Senior Congress leaders including party President Sonia Gandhi and Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee were present in the House.

The Congress leaders were seen holding consultations with Gandhi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members with Advani.
