IAF Flying Officer Anjali Gupta found guilty

Bangalore: A military court here today (Dec 8, 2005) sentenced IAF Flying Officer Anjali Gupta to be cashiered (dismissal from service).

The sentence is, however, subject to confirmation by the Chief of Air Staff.

The five-member jury presided over by Group Captain Ganesh which pronounced the verdict found Gupta guilty of five charges against her and 'not guilty' of two others.

Gupta was facing seven charges, including ones relating to insubordination and irregularity. The trial had begun on April 12 this year.
