Madras HC: 17 new judges to be sworn in tomorrow Friday, December 9 2005 18:59 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Seventeen new Judges appointed to the Madras High court, are to be sworn in by the Chief Justice A P Shah at the court complex tomorrow (Dec 10, 2005), according to a court registry notification today.
President A P J Abdul Kalam had approved the appointment of the 17 Judges on Wednesday (Dec 7, 2005). With their induction, the total strength of Judges will go upto 38 against a strength of 49, including seven Judges for the Madurai bench of the High Court.
Twelve of those to be sworn in are from the Bar, while the remaining five are from the judiciary.
Those to be sworn in are J A K Sampath Kumar, A C Arumugaperumal Adityan, P Murugesan, S Tamilvanan, M Jeyapaul, V Dhanapalan, K Suguna, R Reghupathi, Chitra Venkataraman, K Mohanram, P Jyothimani, K N Basha, N Paul Vasantkumar, M Jaichandren, S Rajeswaran, R Sudhakar and P P S Janardhana Raja.
