Kochi: A national seminar on 'Indigenisation in Aviation Industry-Challenges Ahead' will be held at the Naval Base here on December 16.

The seminar is being organised by the Aeronautical Society of India, Kochi Branch in association with the Aviation Technical Units in Kochi.

Vice Admiral S C S Bangara, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command will inaugurate the seminar, a naval release said here today (December 13, 2005).

N Narayana Moorthy, Project Director, PSLV Project, VSSC, ISRO, Thiruvananthapuram, will deliver the keynote address.

Around 200 participants including a large number of senior serving and retired dignitaries from Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Defence R and D Organisations and Aviation industry from both public and private sectors are expected to paticipate in the seminar.

During the seminar, an indigenisation expo is also being organised for displaying the indigenised aviation products of public and private sector units, the release said.
