SC rejects appeal for stay on Ulhasnagar demolition

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Dec 13, 2005) declined to entertain a bunch of petitions seeking stay on the ongoing demolition of unauthorised constructions at Ulhasnagar, a suburb on the outskirts of Mumbai.

The petitioners had approached the apex court against the Bombay High Court judgement ordering demolition of all types of unauthorised constructions in the town.
