FIR registered in Parliament bomb scare incident

New Delhi: Police today (Dec 16, 2005) registered an FIR in the Parliament bomb scare incident and began investigations into the matter.

The case was registered by Special Cell at its Lodhi Road Police station under IPC 121 (waging war against the nation) and Section 18 and 20 of Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act.

Parliament Under Attack

The FIR has been registered against unknown persons.

Panic gripped Parliament after information was received at around 11.50 a.m. that a bomb could have been planted inside the building to go off at around the same time.
