Nine persons, including two owners of two internet browsing centres at Palaymkottai in Tirunelveli district, are now being interrogated by cyber crime experts, in connection with an e-mail which created a bomb scare in Parliament, police said today (Dec 17, 2005).
The nine, including the owners of a browsing centre at Murugankurchi and another at VOC ground, were taken in for questioning last evening.
Police also raided a mobile phone shop on the Palayamkottai-Tiruchendur road, and its owner questioned on the suspicion that the e-mail could have been sent through cell-phone network.
Police said Selvin and Muthuraj, the owners of the Broadband net-cafes are being interrogated at an unidentified location and both the browsing centres have been sealed.
Those detained would be held till a team of central intelligence personnel arrived at Tirunelveli from Delhi this evening, police said.
