CBI court extends MonicaÂ's remand till January 2

Hyderabad: Designated CBI court here today (Dec 19, 2005) extended the judicial remand of Monica Bedi, companion of underworld don Abu Salem, till January 2, 2006.

Bedi was produced before the Special judge C V Subramanyam, who extended her remand in a forged passport case.

On December 12, the court had rejected her bail petition.

She is facing charges of securing a passport under fictitious name from Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh in 2001.
