Bomb scare at the Bombay Stock Exchange building

Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange authorities today (Dec 22, 2005) received a phone call, warning them of a bomb in the BSE building on the bourse's premises.

Soon a bomb disposal squad was rushed to the BSE building. The squad scanned the entire building to ascertain the veracity of the bomb alert. Armed with sniffer dogs, the police team is still searching the premises. However, no bomb was found, police said.

This is the second bomb scare at the BSE building within a month. On Nov 17, the BSE authorities had received a bomb scare following which a Government school teacher from Jalgaon, was arrested.
