Reservation Bill in unaided pvt colleges approved

New Delhi: Parliament today (Dec 22, 2005) approved the Constitutional Amendment Bill providing reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in unaided private educational institutions with Rajya Sabha passing the bill with near unanimity.

While 172 voted in favour of the bill, 2 members voted against it.
