ATS to seek TADA court permission for Salem tests Friday, December 23 2005 11:05 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Mumbai:
The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police would today (Dec 23, 2005) move the designated TADA court, seeking permission to subject extradited gangster Abu Salem to lie-detection and other tests to get more information on the Pradeep Jain murder case, ATS sources said.
"ATS intends to make Salem undergo the lie detection (polygraph), brain mapping, and narco-analysis tests to get more clues out of him about the involvement of other accused in the Jain murder case", the sources said.
ATS Joint Commissioner of Police, K P Raghuvanshi confirmed that the TADA court would be moved today in this regard.
Salem, who is in custody of ATS, would be taken to either Bangalore or Ahmedabad for the tests, if the court grants permission, the sources added.
