Power failures in Punjab, Haryana due to dense fog

Chandigarh: The entire Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh went without electricity this morning following a failure in the integrated Northern grid, a Punjab Electricity Board spokesman said.

The power failure took place due to dense fog in the region, he said.

Officials of the Board were working to locate the fault, he said adding the power supply was likely to be restored soon.
