A number of quakes have struck the country since a massive temblor on October 8 killed an estimated 87,000 people and left more than 3.5 million others homeless in northwestern Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The state-run Seismological Center in the northwestern city of Peshawar confirmed the latest quake, but did not have details on its intensity. It wasn't immediately clear where
the quake was centered.
Local television channels reported that the temblor also jolted PoK and northwestern Pakistan.
The quake occurred shortly after 1 p.m. (0130 IST) and shook buildings in Islamabad, where some residents ran out of their homes, Geo television reported.
