BJP finalises agenda for National Executive meet Monday, December 26 2005 16:03 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Mumbai:
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders met here today (Dec 26, 2005) and finalised the schedule for the party's national executive meeting beginning later in the evening and the party's silver jubilee national convention commencing on Wednesday.
The meeting of the office-bearers chaired by outgoing party president L K Advani gave final touches to the political, economic and foreign affairs and internal security resolutions to be adopted at the meeting, party sources said.
To commence with flag hoisting by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the three-day convention at the Bandra reclamation ground, where the party began its eventful political journey 25 years back, will conclude with the valedictory remarks by both Vajpayee and Advani.
However, it was not sure whether Advani would step down at the end of the session or thereafter.
