BSP expels 3 MPs involved in cash for queries scam

Lucknow: The Bahujan Samaj Party today (Dec 26, 2005) expelled four of its MPs, including three who were involved in the 'cash for queries' scam.

Narendra Kushwaha, Lal Chand Kol and Raja Ram Pal whose name had figured in the sting operation carried out by a private TV channel and who have failed to prove their innocence have been expelled, BSP National President Mayawati told reporters here.

The party also expelled Ghanshyam Chand Kharwar, a Rajya Sabha MP who had recently married for the second time, Mayawati said.

The three MPs have already been expelled from the Parliament for their involvement in the scam.
