New political alternative will come in MP: Uma
Monday, December 26 2005 10:44 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Chhatarpur (MP): In the first clear indication of trying to get a new political address for her, expelled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Uma Bharti yesterday (Dec 26, 2005) said a new political alternative would come into existence.

"A new alternative political system will come into being. It will provide an alternative not only to BJP but also to all other political parties," the firebrand leader said addressing a public meeting in the midst of her Bhopal-Ayodhya march here, around three weeks after her expulsion from the saffron party.

"The new arrangement would gain power in Madhya Pradesh as well as at the Centre in the next two years with the support and cooperation of people, particularly those hailing from the backward Bundelkhand region of the state," Bharti said.

Stepping up her tirade against former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and BJP President L K Advani, the fiery sanyasin alleged she was betrayed and thrown on the streets by the duo in the same way as brave Abhimanyu was killed in a deceitful manner in Mahabharat.

None would respect these leaders as nobody worships Bhisma and Dronacharya in this country, she said, claiming though she had made it clear she did not want to become Chief Minister, Vajpayee and Advani were insisting on her return.

Alleging that BJP was now passing through 'kalyug' under Advani having seen 'satyug' in Jansangh days under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Bharti said walkout in Lok Sabha over MPs' graft issue was 'shameful' as he himself had resigned following hawala scam.
