Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today (Dec 27, 2005) said he was planning to induct one more Minister to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of then forest minister K P Viswanthan in the wake of a High Court observation in a sandalwood case about an year back.

Disclosing this to reporters during his briefing on the weekly cabinet meeting, Chandy said Viswanathan himself had urged him to fill the vacancy left by his resignation.

"I will be taking a decision after consultation with my colleagues. I don't want to say exactly when the cabinet expansion is going to take place," he said.

According to Congress sources, party MLA from Kozhikode Sujanapal is likely to be considered for the cabinet post.
