Petition filed in Gujarat HC on mass grave issue
Wednesday, December 28 2005 12:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Ahmedabad: A writ petition was filed in Gujarat High Court today (Dec 28,2005) in connection with unearthing of a mass grave in Lunavada village of Panchmahal district of the state.

The petition was filed after some of the relatives of 2002 riot victims yesterday claimed to have exhumed skeletal remains from a mass grave besides Panam river.

Teesta Setalvad, an activist running an NGO 'Citizens for Justice and Peace' had said the bodies might be of those killed in post-Godhra riots in Pandharwada village. The matter is expected to come up for hearing tomorrow (Dec 29,2005).
