Assistant Professor of IIM, Lucknow, Sonia Gupta, one of the injured in yesterday's (Dec 28, 2005) terrorist attack at the Indian Institute of Science campus here, was discharged from the private hospital where she had been undergoing treatment, hospital sources said.
Gupta had suffered injury in her left eye as pellets had pierced through her eye during the attack.
Meanwhile, doctors at the private Mallige Hospital said Prof Vijay Chandru, who underwent surgery for bullet injuries, is recovering.
Chandru, a scientist involved in the development of the hand held computer, 'simputer', was off ventilator, doctors said.
A team of surgeons who operated Chandru removed a bullet from his elbow and restored the damaged arteries in the chest and left shoulder.
