B'lore attack: Security tightened in West Bengal

Kolkata: Security has been tightened in all scientific institutions, laboratories and all vital installations in West Bengal in the wake of ultra attack in the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore yesterday (Dec 29, 2005).

Officials said today that additional security forces had been posted in the IT institutions, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), national laboratories and institutions and vital installations, including railway stations, airport and Government offices and establishments.

Sources said that police had been asked to keep vigil on scientific and IT institutions.
