K'taka: Governor, CM extend New Year greetings

Bangalore: Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi, Chief Minister N Dharam Singh and Deputy Chief Minister M P Prakash have conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to the people of the state for the New Year 2006.

"We can recall with satisfaction the achievements of our state on all fronts. But we still have many tasks ahead of us. We have to assess fully the varied Infrastructural requirements of our trade and industry especially of the growing IT and BT sectors and work ceaselessly to meet our needs" Chaturvedi said in his greetings.

"May the new year bring peace, tranquillity and prosperity to all" Singh wished.

Legislative Assembly speaker Krishna, Council Chairman V R Sudarshan, Minister for Information B Shivaram and former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah have also greeted people on the occasion.
