Cash-for-query: Pal moves SC against his expulsion Monday, January 2 2006 20:22 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The suspended Bahujan Samaj Party BSP MP Raja Ram Pal,who was caught on camera accepting money in the 'cash for query' scam today (Jan 2, 2006) moved the Supreme Court against his expulsion as the Member of Lok Sabha.
Pal's counsel K S Chauhan said that a petition has been filed challenging his expulsion from Lok Sabha.
He said the petition will be mentioned tomorrow (Jan 3, 2006) for interim relief.
The counsel refused to divulge the grounds taken in the petition against expulsion which was based on the report of Pawan Kumar Bansal Committee.
The Lok Sabha Committee had gone into the sting operation exposing on camera, 10 of its members accepting money in the 'cash for query' scam.
Of the ten MPs five belonged to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), three to BSP and one each to Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
