Eminent economist, writer B L Pangadia passes away

Jaipur: Eminent economist, writer, journalist and freedom fighter B L Pangadia has died, family sources said here today (Jan 02, 2005).

A law graduate, Pangadia, aged 85, passed away last night following a heart attack, they said.

Pangadia had worked as an editor in the first Hindi edition of 'Lokvani' in the city. He had also authored several books in economics and history.

He is survived by two daughters and three sons, including Dr. Ashok Pangadia, who is a leading neurosurgeon of the state.

Several ministers, officials, politicians, journalists, and medical professionals attended the funeral and paid their tributes.
