A Vaishali court today (Jan 4,2006)issued attachment of property orders against 11 name accused, including the main accused, Jagat Rai in the case of burning
to death six members of an extremely backward caste family at Rampur Shyamchand village in former Chief Minister Rabri Devi's Raghopur constituency in the wee hours of the new year day.
In-charge Chief Judicial Magistrate of Vaishali J P Mishra passed the order for attachment of property of the accused after declaring them absconders
prayer.
The court had yesterday issued proclamation notices against them as a step prior to passing of the property attachment order.
Maula Devi, wife of the main accused, Jagat Rai, and three others who are not not named accused in the case, have already been arrested in connection with the incident.
A woman and her five children were burnt alive at the village after her husband Vijendra Mahto refused to withdraw a case of theft of his buffalo against Jagat Rai and two others
registered in September last year.
Vijendra mahto, who was sleeping outside was also set on fire, but he escaped death and is currently undergoing treatment at the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).
