Kerala: Cong MLA Sujanapal sworn in as Minister

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress MLA A Sujanapal was today (Jan 04, 2006) sworn in as the 20th Minister in the Oommen Chandy-led UDF government in Kerala.

The state Governor R L Bhatia administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sujanapal at a function held at the Raj Bhavan this morning.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and his cabinet colleagues attended the function.

Sujanapal was inducted in place of K P Viswanathan, who had to resign as Forests Minister a few months back following adverse remarks by the High Court in a sandalwood case.
