'Chaturvedi not to be shifted; reports baseless'
Friday, January 6 2006 19:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh today (Jan 6, 2006) dismissed as 'baseless and rumour' reports that have appeared in the press that the state Governor T N Chaturvedi was being shifted.

The Union Home Minister Shivaraj Patil has told him that there was no move to appoint a new Governor in place of the incumbent Chaturvedi, Singh told reporters after launching 'Gyanodaya,' the Government assisted programme to encourage purchase of personal computers by Government employees.

Karnataka has tied up with INTEL to implement the programme.

With this the Government employees can own their computers at an affordable cost, Singh said.
