Mumbai police remands 3 J&K militants till Jan 16 Saturday, January 7 2006 17:05 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Three suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba militants from Jammu and Kashmir, arrested by police here on the charge of carrying arms and material used for making bombs, were today (Jan 7,2006)remanded to police custody till January 16.
On a tip-off by a central agency, the trio were picked up by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police yesterday (Jan 6,2006) when they were waiting outside a hotel at Nagpada in south Mumbai.
They were produced in the court of magistrate A V Shete who remanded them to police custody till January 16 on a plea made by Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS) of city police which is probing the case registered against them.
The suspected militants Qurshid Ahmed alias Lala (29), Arshad Ghulam Ahmed Hussain Badru (27) and Mohammed Ramzan Abdul Kazi (50) were wanted in a series of crimes committed in Jammu and Kashmir, the court was told.
