Sunday, January 8 2006 10:43 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Plans are afoot to rollout almost a round-the-clock TV channel of Parliament from March-end this year.

Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee said in an interview to sources that besides the proceedings of Parliament, the channel is also expected to show features like 'Know your MP' and other programmes related to Parliament.

Among the programmes that could be shown on the channel, especially when Parliament was not in session, would be discussions on various legislations that would be of interest to the people.

Good feature films, documentaries on socially relevant issues are also being planned to be telecast from the channel for whose launch the help of former I and B Secretary Bhaskar Ghosh, who is now Information Advisor to the Speaker, is being taken.
