Raids in parts of Haryana, UP in phone tapping case Monday, January 9 2006 09:54 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Delhi Police yesterday (Jan 08, 2006) carried out raids in some parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in connection with the tapping of the telephones of Samajwadi Party leaders in search of the mastermind behind the operation.
Similar raids have been carried out earlier to nab the person on whose direction the letters of senior police and government officials were forged to enable tapping of phones of Amar Singh, police sources said here.
"Raids are being carried out at several places", the sources said. Three persons have been arrested in the case so far.
Anurag, the owner of a private detective agency, Kuldeep Singh, who was working for mobile operator Reliance Infocomm, and Bhupendra, the owner of another private detective agency have been arrested in the case.
