Tuesday, January 10 2006 13:09 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has greeted the nation on the eve of Eid-ul-Zuha and reminded the people of "our collective responsibility towards the poor and the less-privileged".

"Eid-ul-Zuha is also a timely reminder of our collective responsibility and duty towards the poor, the needy and the less privileged", he said in a message today.

"Eid-ul-Zuha is an occasion to remember the spirit of supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim. The festival teaches us the importance of sacrificing our ego and surrender the 'self' to the almighty," the Prime Minister added.
