New Delhi: Central trade unions have decided to hold a country-wide protest demonstration on January 20 against the Government's notification of 8.5 per cent EPF rate for the current fiscal.

This was decided today at a joint meeting of trade unions, including AITUC, BMS, City, HMS and UTUC here, a day after the notification was issued by the Labour Ministry.

The meeting also decided to take up the matter with Finance Minister P Chidambaram tomorrow.
