Police summons Amar Singh over tapping allegations

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh has been summoned by Delhi police in connection with investigations into his phone tapping allegations.

Singh has been asked to be present at the Special Cell office, Lodhi Road at 1400 hrs today (Jan 13, 2006), police sources said.

The Samajwadi Party General Secretary had alleged that his phone was being tapped at the behest of Congress leaders.

Police have arrested three people, including two private detectives, one of whom is believed to have forged sanction letters for Singh's phone surveillance.
