BJP to raise clean chit to Quattrocchi in Parliament Sunday, January 15 2006 17:35 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today (Jan 15,2006) said it would raise the issue of Government giving a 'clean chit' to Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi in the Bofors pay-off case in the coming budget session of Parliament.
"We will raise the issue in Parliament," BJP president Rajnath Singh told reporters here, when asked to comment on the government stating that it had found no evidence against Quattrocchi in the Bofors payoff case.
"We will take the issue to Parliament and also take to the streets," he said.
He expressed 'surprise' over reports that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was 'unaware' of the happenings in the Law Ministry in connection with the case.
