No political interference in Quattrocchi case: PM

New Delhi: Brushing aside opposition charge, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Jan 18, 2006) asserted that there was no political interference in the de-freezing of London bank accounts of Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, an accused in the Bofors scam.

"There was no political interference," Singh said told reporters after laying the foundation stone for the CBI complex here.

He was asked whether there was any political interference in the Quattrocchi's case.
