No threat to JDS-Cong govt in K'taka: Kumaraswamy Wednesday, January 18 2006 14:35 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Bangalore:
Janata Dal-Secular (JDS) Working President H D Kumaraswamy today (Jan 18, 2006) said there was no threat to the Congress-JDS coalition government and his party was continuing its support to it.
"The government is stable", Kumaraswamy said, adding, there was no plan to meet the governor to withdraw the JDS support to the coalition government.
"We are continuing our support", Kumaraswamy told reporters after holding a meeting with the party legislators.
Kumaraswamy said discussions were held with the party legislators on 'several issues' but there was no threat to the government.
Several legislators, who attended the meeting, however, said, on condition of anonymity, that a move was on to withdraw the support.
Kumaraswamy's meeting with the party legislators came amidst speculations that moves were afoot to join hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form an alternative government.
