Some JDS legislators withdrawing support: Sindhia Wednesday, January 18 2006 20:13 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Bangalore:
Senior Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) leader P G R Sindhia said a section of JDS legislators have given a letter to the Governor T N Chaturvedi withdrawing support to the Congress-JDS coalition Government.
Sindhia, who is loyal to party supremo H D Devegowda, termed the letter as invalid and said it had no sanctity.
He said they would meet the Governor and urge him not to act upon it.
"Under no circumstances will we go with BJP," Sindhia said.
Deputy Chief Minister M P Prakash said the letter was invalid and without sanction as any letter other than one given by him as leader of the legislature party would have no validity.
"There was no question of withdrawing support to the Government," he said.
